i was feeding my cacautoides tank tonight and notice there were a bunch more fry! same parents, the other two haven't seemed to figure it out yet. since i only ended up rescuing five from the previous batch, i decided to try to get some out right away. i ended up moving 31 fry tonight in with the 5 previous. i'm going to be overrun soon if they keep this up! they're so cute!

Congrats!....ANd I'm still jealous!!!!! One of my females (the other 2 "haven't gotten it yet) was guarding a cave again last night. THis morning she is out and about. How in the world do I keep her from craving a midnight snack?

i can't really say, i don't do anything special. the female will disappear for a few days (she's got a hiding spot somewhere in my driftwood) and when she comes back out she usually guards a spot near the opening in the driftwood cave. whenever she swims over the fry they pop up some, but if she swims away, they go back into the gravel and i'd never know they were there.

good luck with your girls, hopefully they'll get the hang of it.

i just looked into the parents tank and there are still about 20 fry left in there, so i think i'll leave them and see what happens.
