One of my mollies is fuzzy and is missing some scales. I stuck him in the 10 gal I set up - it's a pretty new tank so I'm not sure he'll even survive the water change but I wanted to get him OUT of my big tank as soon as possible. I have "Fungus Clear" Which recommends I remove my carbon. I haven't used the tablets yet - he's just in the tank with some salt at about 75 degrees.
I put some salt in my 29 as a preventative measure (and cleaned the tank). Is there anything else I should do?
Also, if he DOES die, what should I do to make the 10 gal "safe" again for putting other fish in? I don't want them to get fungus/bacteria because there was a sick fish previously in the tank.
ALSO the "Fungus Clear" can be used for hemorrhagic septicemia - which my gourami may have. Should I put the gourami in with the mollie and risk him possibly getting the fungus stuff too? heeeelp!
