Hey all,
My tank has been fishless cycling for a week now, and my mopani wood (one big piece in particular, only moderately affecting smaller pieces) gets covered in white fungus really quick. every couple of days i remove, scrub, immerse in boiling water etc...
I'm not too worried as i know it's harmless... but it's a little bit ugly.
My question is, would a fungicide such as JBL Fungol or Tetra Fungistop help reducing this stuff, and also, would it interfere with the cycling process? If i do decide to use a fungicide, presumably I have to remove the carbon element in my filter?
Thanks a lot!
Lucas
