Fish Crazy
So I’m moving my halfmoon betta, Moon, into a new tank. For anyone who saw my post yesterday, I got a better and bigger tank. He’ll be going from a 3.5 gallon to a 6 gallon with plans to load it up with plants. He’s currently battling an issue with his fins so if it is boredom, this should help. However, if it is fin rot, I’m wondering what the best way is to move his stuff over. He has now completed a full dose of Kanaplex. Should I move his original gravel over considering it’s probably full of beneficial bacteria? Or would I potentially be spreading the bacteria into the new tank? And is it okay to move the bio filter media into the tank as well? And do I need to use carbon at any point in the new tank? I guess I need someone to tell me how to do it with in mind that he was just treated for fin rot and also his current tank is cycled.
