-_- -_- -_- -_- I have been seing moonlights all over, do fish benefit from it at all?

I know they make tank look very cool and that is enough for some people to make a purchase, but thats not enought for me.

Do nocturnal fish actually respong to these lights, is there some type of value to the fish for having these lights!

Other then the fact that small (prey) fish might see a night attack comming... I really don't know but if it allows you to enjoy your tank well into the night, well everyone benifits :D

If you DIY you can do a moonlight for under 20 bux so I think it's worth it.

I just bought 50 470nm 4000mcd LEDs off Ebay for $2.99! At Radio Shaq they were $4.29 each!! I will be making moonlights for all of my tanks! They actually have several advantages. They let you see the nocturnal habits of your inhabitants and they are said to stimmulate breeding. To build one yourself is so cheap I don't know why more people don't have them.
