I would like to set up my 55 gallon mbuna tank for moonlight type lighting as the only time I get to see them anyway is late, late at night (work and school). Anyone suggestion a set up for this type of tank?

Also, if I do this, should I be counting time the 'moonlight' is on toward the overall tank lighting time (ie, toward increasing alage, fish cycles, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Jason

I used these for a while, you dont need them on all night, just for the time from when your lights go off to the time you go to bed

I soon got bored of them though, theyre not that great after a few weeks.

They have a better effect if you use a strip of them about half your tank length on the centre so you have some darker spots either side.

http://www.litecraft.co.uk/Products/Product.asp?id=3194 I've got one of these rigged up to my hood in the corner highlighting some rocks. It s not exactly pond/aquarium equipment but its not getting wet at all. I love how I can change the colour at the press of a button or let it phase through the whole spectrum. It has a 'white' and a 'pale blue' colour setting too. Light is enough for my 125 Litre. The remote also has a three step dimmer too. I'll get some pics soon..
