I recently saw "moon lights" on several of the members aquariums. All I have to say is, WOW. Does anyone know where I can get one, how much they usually cost, etc? thanks in advance.

I have a Hi-Lite system by Miracle Beam, although it is kind of shoddy in the "quality" area, it is an inexpensive option that creates that "moonlight" effect if you swapped out the green w/ a blue module. :)

There is a thread on setting up a cold cathode moonlight here, and another about wiring LED's to form a moonlight here. If you search this and the DIY board for "moonlight" you'll find a number of other DIY and useful info threads.

I was thinking of going down the LED route but tried a blue tube, piccy below

Looks really nice, especially late at night. I'm still quite tempted by the LED's though

I got mine from a guy called GarlicBred31 at ebay. £15 and they're adjustable so you can brighten/dim to suit your tank.

Well, I thought there was a certain bulb you can buy. This is Hazmat's moonlight that I was interested in copying.

We did too. It's amazing how bright the LEDS can be without stopping the nocturnal activity. The fish just don't seem to notice them!

Highly recommended!
