Moon Light.. black Light, whats the difference

I wood really like to have a moon light in my tank and wold like to get it set up but don't know how I could do that. would anyone give me some links or website names to do that, or whats a good light to do something like that.

Most "moonlight" systems use LED's, although a few people use cold cathode lamps. Black lights are UV lamps, they are pretty useless over a tank.

If you search the board using the word "moonlight" you'll find many threads describing how to set them up.

Moonlight is a silvery blue light, black light is an extreemly purple light combined with UV, I personnaly think a black light would be cool if you have flourescent inverts but your really better off with out all that UV especially if your tank glass isnt UV coated.

I take it that the fish don't even notice this light then? and same for plants?

I really want to do something like this in my tank as i find that it lacks a third step on the lights off stage(56w down to 36 then 18w in three timed intervals) if i had moonlight kicking in with the last 18w and then taking over i reckon that would look quite nice.
I have also seen some kind of moonlight tube in my lfs - does anybody know what these are like?
