Have a look at these clips.

6ft tank tank

Deep tank

What do u think?
Would u want this?

It can be set to white as well with a blue/red/green off set which look's amazing
TMC's lighing has 5 LED and retails at £100
This has nearly 135 LED's and would be around £180
You do see the rippling effect as well which TCM is pushing as their big selling point.

Would anyone want to pay that sort of money for this feature?

Edit to add pics

That's already built in, but the white is a little difficult ATM as it's not a basic option.

Personally.... I don't like it.
I do like 'colour changing lights', especially if there is water / fountains / bubbles involved, but I'm just not sure that it fits with an aquarium very well.
Perhaps it's just me, but I'd waaaay prefer to have some subtle lighting and try to choose fish that would show off their colours, rather than have artificial lighting effects doing it.

Sorry! :p

This looks cool IMO.

Ok that one I like as a lighting effect, (almost tempted to do my own 'torches' in the corners fo my tank actually :p

I think that THIS is a cool tank though, I mean, plenty of people have tanks with no top, but how many have one with no bottom??
Bottomless Tank

no actually im going to take back what i said,if i had a magnificant tank that i had spend £1000`s of pounds on,then yes i reckon i would buy a set, infact im sure i would, but i couldnt justify that cash for my tank destroying oscars...tho id like to

I've got that changing colour lighting setup in my hallway (built into the floor - not a fish tank) and it looks great, I love it.

In a fish tank it just looks gimmicky and cheap imo. I like to see my fishes natural colouring. Don't like it.

I have a rig like the one in OzeN's post but it has only 4 lights rather than the 10 or 12 and it is over a very tall 3 ft tank so the lights are spaced well apart and only give it a faint glow. You can almost see the fish in the tank if the room is dark but it is really just giving a slight glow to the tank and water.

I actually own these little guys

Tank Lights

I haven't decided on whether I should put them in my tank or not though. I've had them for a while now.. I might pop them in and see how they look sometime.

If you have a bubble stone of any type, those lights make a pretty neat effect shining through them. I've seen a tank with a thick mat of java moss growing over submerged lights, too, it made a kind of eerie effect, since it wasn't lit from above.

Ooh, that sounds cool. I don't have an air stone in my tank though :/

Ok having the strobe function removed now, and a new personalised fish light set to this..

Will be having the new light in a week or so so will have test more then :)
