Mono Spitting Out Food?

so all other fish in tank eat fine (archers, dragon gobies, green chromide) and my mono used to devour the food (same type of food) but lately he has not been eating and recently he is trying to eat but spitting the food out.
 
Any ideas as to why this is?

Have you added any fish recently? What are the water parameters? What does his/her poo look like?

no new fish, haven't seen him poo in a bit but I did have a mini cycle about 2 weeks ago, but that is over now and ammonia and nitrite are zero, and all the other fishes are eating very well.

Nitrate levels? SG? Temp?
 
Have you tried other foods?  If live foods like brine shrimp don't get it to eat then there is a problem

ya it was the food, he was getting sick of his dry food and some brine shrimp solved the problem
