We are seriously into monarchs in my family, mostly due to my daughter, who got our last place certified as a monarch waystation and who wants to be a lepidopterist some day. Looks like the western population might be finally be getting a break. Yay!

One of the better side effects of the lockdowns....alot more wildlife, some of it thought to be close to extinction, is slowly recovering

I actually went to the Monarch Sanctuary in Pacific Grove about 2-3 weeks ago. It was right before the rains in Seaside. We didn't spot many monarchs but I blamed it on the chill in the air and the overcast skies.
It seems like an awesome little place and an oasis in the middle of town. :)
