My bamboo shrimp molted yesterday but it didn't molt fully. From its eye to halfway down his boddie there is still the old skeleton on him. The part he did shed came off fine but i am worried as to weather this part will or not. It is strange because its fealers shedded too but not the head area.
So will this bit eventually shed or not?
thanks

This does occur sometimes, you occasonally see shrimp with some parts of their carapace a different tone to the rest, it should be fine, but sometimes problems can occur.

Sometimes moulting problems are due to the water lacking in dissolved minerals for the shrimp to form its exoskeleton, do you live in a hard or soft water area?

As well as the above comments, there are two things to bear in mind:

First, never ever try to help him out of his old shell. Chances are you'll do him more harm than good. As long as his antennae, fans and mouthparts are properly moulted, he should be alright for the time being, and the rest of his old skin should fall away as his new shell hardens.

Secondly, consider buying an iodine supplement to add to the water (some LFSs or online retailers stock them). Iodine apparently makes the moulting process easier for shrimp and other crustaceans.
