Hi,

I have two white and two pot bellied mollies. I was wondering if these would ever breed with eachother, a white with a potbellied? Also I was wondering if I were to get black mollies, one black pot bellied female and one black regular molly if they would breed with their different colored molly types. I ask this because I'm trying to maintain a one male to two female ratio while putting some new colors into the tank, of course if black mollies wont breed with a different color/species I wont go ahead with my idea.

One other thing, my white male molly has a tinge of yellow on the tip of his tail and on some of his side, is it common for some white mollies to have this or could it perhaps be infection or disease? My water perameters are all fine, nitrate is a little high.

One other off the topic question, feeding your fish, the 3 minute rule, I understand but what how often should I be feeding my fish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! -_-

I'm pretty sure your mollies will breed... I mean Swordtails and Platies cross-breed and so do Endlers and Guppies. I'm pretty sure your pot-bellied mollies and your normal types will breed together, anyway it a good idea to try and cross-breed diferent types of fish.
I don't know about the yellow tip your molly has on the ned of it's tail...sorry
I usually feed my fish every second day... although my betta get feed once everyday. It depends on the fish, but i do find that feeding freshwater fish once every second day is good for them.

it is common for mollies to have small amounts of different colours on them
probably genetics - they likely have an orange coloured molly somewhere in the family tree.

cant remembere where i read it but i found somewhere and will try again that all types of mollies are the same so all can breed with each other.
