Hi, I was wondering what my Molly has. He has been swimming around all weird for the past few days, and his stomach has been sunken in. I’m really worried about him and idk what i should do. I think it’s wasting disease, but I’m not too sure and I need too know for sure. Please help me!

The fish are covered in excess mucous (creamy white film over their body and fins). This is normally caused by something in the water irritating the fish. Check the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and GH of the water. You want 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, less than 20ppm nitrate, a pH above 7.0 and a GH above 250ppm for mollies.

Check its poop. If it has stringy white poop, then read the following link.

You can do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. And add some rock salt/ aquarium salt (2 heaped tablespoons per 20 litres of tank water) to see if that helps. But check the water quality first and do a water change after you test the water.
