Hi,

Got a problem with a Molly fish. She been behaving weird since we got her about a month ago, but now she got a band tail and she sits on the bottom of the tank and dont move, unless for food.

Tank is 30L and got 4 fishes in it. pH is 7.0, ammonia 0.6, NO3 is 50 and NO2 is 0.8. Doing daily 10% water change. Only feed fishes once a day to reduce pollution.

Read that this could be caused by inbreeding. Please advice.

Looks deformed for sure, and as you say very possibly through inbreeding. Nothing you can do for her I'm afraid. Just make sure she's getting her share of food.

I think changing water every day is too much. Try changing it twice a week(?)
I change the water in my tank twice a week.

In some situations, daily, or even twice daily cam be the only thing that can save the fish. As the OP had (this thread is nearly a year old, and the OP has never posted again) significant levels of ammonia and nitrite, both of which are highly toxic to fish, daily water changes, of more than 10%would have been the right course of action.

In general, there is no such thing as changing too much water; there are a few exceptions, like when you're dealing with an old, neglected tank.
