This is an update to aprevious post.
I THINK I have found out why my mollies have died.
Some people have suggested that my tank might be over stocked, but it still puzzled me as to why only the mollies have died.
On closer inspection of the tank, I have noticed the fake log that is in there has paint missing.
The mollies are the ONLY fish in the tank that would constantly "pick" at it and the plants.( the barbs, platies guppy, gourami, neons etc dont pick at stuff in the tank).
So I am assuming that the poor mollies have eaten the paint, and that has been the cause of thier death.
I am no expert of tropical fish, far from it, but I don't think that paint from the fake log would be good fish food.

We have talked with out lfs and he says its unlikely that has caused the death of the fish, and he is happy to give us another fake log to replace the faulty one, (but can't garentee it wont do the same) or we can choose something else.

At least he is being a nice guy amd not trying to give us the run around, even though we didnt keep the sales docket as prrof of purchase.

I had a mollie die yesterday and one of the others is not looking too good, just suspended in the water with it's tail down. I don't seem to be very good at keeping them so if this carries on, I think I'll pass and stick with the "survivors". All my tank chemicals are ok and although I've also been "accused" of overstocking, the other fish don't seem to mind. Must be "mollieitis". Never mind, there're plenty more fish in the sea, lol.
