Hello, I have a full grown male Dalmation Mollie. one of my favs. anyway. 2 days ago it was fine, yesterday morning I noticed it was swimming near other fish and almost looked like it was trying to breed....later on it was in the back bottom of th tank, in one place, not moving. to get it to eat I had to probe it a tiny bit. It did eat some but also spit out alot. now......its back in the same spot only now its doing a swimming motion but not going anywhere. just wiggling non-stop, kinda feel helpless..over the weekend I did notice that tank had some nitrites...monia seemed ok...did a cleaning and 90% change last 3 days,,,,,this tank is all live bearers,,mollies, platys, swordtails and I do have a small amount os aquarium salt - maybe a teaspoon for 20 gallons. I fear its on its way to the big fish tank in the sky.....

couple pics one with slow shutter speed so you can see the movement and a still

Thanks, Ralph
PS the tank has Molly fry growing in it so the water can't be that bad...also its the tank on my live feed http://67.86.222.38:8081/
theres a chance you might see a little black tadpole looking thing-black molly fry.

That nitrite spike could be enuff to kill it. Nitrite is quite deadly to fish compared to ammonia and nitrate can be in big dosses.

Anyway, I'd keep an eye on them. Don't force feed it, They'll go on a good week before needing to eat.
