mollie has white spots

when i put the medicine I need to use to treat the fish for the white spots the pleco gets sick and it seems like they cant get enough air when i put this ampillicin in the water the spots are gone but it cuts thier air off what am i supposed to do I dont want to lose my fish would some one please help me

Most medications deplenish the oxygen supply in the water. Trying putting in an air stone for the duration of the medication - or, if you have one, a power head. The more surface agitation of the water, the more oxygen in it. Once the medication cycle is finished, do a water change and carbon in the filter will get rid of any medication left in the water.

Extra air or water movement will help the oxygen supply problem but you have another one here too. Mollies like hard, alkaline water, pH around 7.2+, plecs don't. They prefer softer more acid water, pH around 6.8.
Mollies will even adapt to full sea water conditions, plecs react badly to salt.
Since the spots keep re-appearing on your mollies I would geuss that the conditions suit the plec rather than the mollies!

what can I do about medicating them? I cant get rid of them they leave for a day and the next morning when I get up and turn up the lights they are right back.The more I look at the spots the more convinced that it is columnaris I bought this medicine called ampicillex it says that it is for inflamed eyes whits body slime advanced fin and mouth rot popeye columnaris and fungal infections. it gets rid of the spots but the pleco cant seem to stand it and he has some of the spots to. can you give me some advice.
