A week or so ago, I was talking with someone on this forum. We were discussing ways to make life more comfortable for Oliver.
Last night, I happened to notice he was back to sleeping on his side, using the glass to rest against.

SO! I remembered the conversation, and how someone had told me how to modify a ornament into a resting place.

And here it is! :D

He's been in it once already, and safely got back out again. So looks like the suggestion worked. :)

You can even see the monster in question in the top photo

Just above the barrel, the little red head poking up
And thanks!
Being half submerged, he can access air easily, and rest at the same time

I've got a funny feeling he's on his last legs (Or fins.). But he's currently sat inside the barrel for support :D

That is a great way to accommodate an older betta.  :)  I do similar things in some of my tanks with pieces of PVC.

Looks great Rei Rei and is similar to what I did for Bob, got the idea from WildBetta's pipes.
I have not been around much on the TFF lately, and am soon going on holiday, however, I wish you Good Luck with Oliver, I know you are doing the best you can for him.

Thought I'd lost him last night, before noticing a tail poking out of the barrel. xD Atleast he's using it!
After a while, he just had the white of his chin showing, so I went to get my camera - Though by the time I got back up, he'd left the barrel. xD Have a picture anyway!

Sorry to hear Oliver isn't any better, but his suspended cave sounds like it is helping him so that's a great idea!
