Mixing

Simple question. Could a honey gourami live with danios or is the temperature too different?

The main concern about mixing honey gouramis with danios is that gouramis are sedate fish while danios are active fish. The danios would stress the gourami simply by their swimming behaviour.

I agree with @essjay. Danios are very active swimmers and Gouramis are very mellow and layed back. Maybe if you had a big enough tank and a lot of hiding spots, it might work out. I personally don’t suggest it though.

Essjay nailed it. There is a temperature difference but the main problem is the activity level. Sedate fish cannot be in tanks with active fish.
