Mixing Tiger Barbs (green, Albino, Normal)

Hi, i recently got 11 tiger barbs for pretty much a Tiger barb only tank.

Would it be ok to just add 2 green tiger barbs and 2 Albino tiger barbs? it would still be a shoal of 10-11 but each variation whould have less than 6 of its own kind.

BTW id be selling some of the standards to make way for the Green/albino ones. I only want a shole of 10 or so in my 30G.

Ps, is it normal for tigerbarbs to hang around bottom-mid water all day but asoon as the lights go off at night shoot up and play around at the surface?

Green and albino are the same species as the regular coloured so you will not have a problem there.

Normally, fish become less active after lights out. I don't know why yours should become more so unless you mean right at the time lights go out. If that is the case, the sudden change in conditions will startle and scare them and they enter their "fight or flight" response and run like hell as best they can in a closed system.
