Hey. I have looked into most salt mixes and they say that it CAN be used imediatly after salt has disolved but it is better to wait and airate the mixture for the gas exchange to equilize first before adding to the aquarium.. the thing is though, that they dont say how long it takes for the salt to completely disolve (once water is clear?) and how long to airate. now... I have had my reef nano (20g) up and healthy for almost 2 years and have always let the mixture airate overnight. does this seem excessive? how long do you suggest I wait. how long do you all wait. I always have mixed on hand ready for emergencies but was wondering if I can make the mixing times go a bit faster. thoughts?

I usually just dump it in a few minutes after most of the salt is dissolved. I sometimes still get a mound of salt on the bottom, but I just pour this in. The power and the warmth of the water takes care of the rest. I wouldnt recommend this on tanks that dont have a sump though.

understandable. Im actualy working on adding a sump so that helps. would it be safe to mix it in the morning and add that night? or do you think I should stick with my overnight method?
