Mixing Rams

At the moment i ahve a long fin green Ram in my tank but i am thinking of getting 2 German Blue Rams.

Will the German Rams be ok in with the long fin Ram or will they fight???

Im not sure thier real name but in my LFS they were called long fin green Rams.

Havent got any pics sorry but they are very similar to the german blue Ram but they have longer fins

That is absolutely beautiful! I have never seen those before! S. Americans are my favorite fish...I have Gold and Blue Rams and recently bought some Discus! They take a little extra to maintain, than some other fish, but they're so worth it!

My long finned Ram is not as nice as the one in the pic but hes still very pretty.

Does anyone know if this kind of Ram will be compatible with German blue rams

They should be fine but if it's a male the male from the pair will probably fight with him and you'll get some ripped fins. If the long finned is a female get another female german blue and a male. That way you will have a nice family with no aggression. The male will breed wtih the long finned.

It's not a long finned green ram, just a long finned blue ram. One of the man made ones, like balloon.

Yeah i always thought it was a long finned blue Ram but in my LFS they called them long finned green Rams....well it goes to show what the LFS knows doesnt it


Im not quite sure if my Ram is a male or a female, it hasnt got a pink belly like some of the females have. Any other way of me telling the sex of it
