OK so right now I have 3 leopard corys in my tank, they are abotu a 1/2 to 3/4 inch in length, not every big... Is it possible for me to add other cory cats to them? I mean, could i add 3 albinos to the tank and have them get along ok? or is this a big no-no.

its a standard 29 gallon tank, lots of open space and crevices for them to go around in and keep busy.

thanks!

It's not a big no no; cories are friendly little chaps who get on with nearly everybody, but it would be better to have at least six of each species.

It's a bit like you being standed on a desert island; if the only other people there were, say, hairdressers, you'd talk to them because there was no-one else, but you'd be happier if there were people who shared your own likes and dislikes.

makes good sense, i'll look in to getting others of the same species for the leopards currently in the tank. just wanted to make sure it would be ok to add some albinos (had them before and loved them) to me corys are just such happy fish to watch, always moving around and its fun seeing the trio of them because they swim around and over top of each other all the time.

I have 2 species of cory together, both in groups of 6
They all get along fine & are quite happy to mingle

Corys get along fine in mixed groups despite what passes as common knowledge online. This tank has four different species in it.

A 29 gallon tank is a nice size. Your corys will enjoy living in it.

thanks for all the help/insight! i went out and bought the only 3 emerald corys that my lfs had. i wanted to get 4 more but i figured they would have fun playing with the 3 leopards, and so far they seem to be having a blast!
