Parameter wise; hardness, temperature and PH, yes, but just a few things to consider.. the chili rasbora come from black water habitats with slow moving waters whereas the danio are found in clear hill streams that will have some flow.Hi, could someone please tell me if these fish would be ok together?
Danio choprae - glowlight
Mosquito chilli rasbora
?
Tank is 87ltrI agree with the above.
Danios are very active and fast as compare to Chili Rasboras.
I think the Danios will stress the Chili Rasboras.
Chili Rasboras like quiet and slow moving environment.
Also, what is the size of your tank?
Thanks for the advice. I'll just go for one of them.Parameter wise; hardness, temperature and PH, yes, but just a few things to consider.. the chili rasbora come from black water habitats with slow moving waters whereas the danio are found in clear hill streams that will have some flow.
Also, SF states that the chili rasbora are timid, and so they might not enjoy the active and fast moving danios.
Do you mean these fishEmerald Danios.
The closely-related C. margaritatus is not recommended as these two are probably capable of hybridisation.
Yeh, those are the little guys.Do you mean these fish
Seriously Fish cautions against keeping them with celestial pearl danios as they may be able to interbreed
From their profile on Seriously Fish
Nice! I've looked at them too.Great choice of fish! I really like the Glowlights too.
I’m currently going through the same process of trying to find comparable fish.
I really like the idea of Celestial Pearl Danios and Emerald Danios.
Not a "big no no" at all, some fishkeepers just want the gene lines in their fish to stay pure as possible.Yeh, those are the little guys.
Well that’s blown my mind! I’m assuming interbreeding is a big no no?
Understandable..The thing with cross breeding is that if you sell or give away the offspring you need to make sure the new owner knows they are hybrids. A lot of people won't take hybrids.
