I have a 6 foot long corn snake, 3 days ago, she was due to be fed. So I put her in her separate enclosure to be fed, and fed her. I came back 20 minutes later, and she was nowhere to be seen. I forgot to properly secure the lid, and she escaped. I’ve been looking for her in my room for 3 days, and I cannot find her anywhere.

Does anyone have tips for luring her out or looking for her?

Oooooops !!!

She must be getting hungry. What do you feed her habitually, you can try to bait her with that.

Also if you have a heating pad, you can hide it somewhere and plug it, warmth may draw her there and help you get your hand on her.

And check all your drawers, they can climb in from behind and also check on top of every furniture that is tall.

I hope you find her soon... She's beautiful.

Thank you :) she definitely is beautiful. I fed her before she escaped, she ate all three mice. Unfortunately that means she now doesn’t need to eat for a few weeks, so baiting will be unsuccessful:)

It is the Year of the Snake, after all.

I hope she shows up soon, though I guess you got a tracker and released radioactive rats into your room, in a few weeks...

Hi Juice box,
Unfortunately, there aren’t many short cuts to finding escaped snakes. Luring it in with food or heating devices is usually not effective. But I do have some suggestions. First, go around the house and block off anyplace that it might be able to get outside. Then, lay some damp towels along walls in various places. Escaped snakes will usually seek moist areas, and they frequently travel along walls. So, hopefully, the snake will hide under a towel, where you will find it. You might also try scattering flower on the floor in some strategic locations, in the hopes of seeing tracks.
Other than that, it’s a matter of looking everywhere. They like tight, secure hiding spots; under laundry piles, inside furniture or appliances, behind bookshelves, etc.
One final suggestion- feeding snakes in separate enclosures is generally not beneficial, and even has some drawbacks, one of which you discovered the hard way. Good luck, and keep looking. An adult corn snake should turn up sooner or later, as long as it’s still inside the house.

First of all, I'm so sorry you're missing your snake! I really hope you find him! Maybe find out if there are ways to live trap snakes?

Second of all, how have you been my best friend for literally 3 years or so and I've never known you've had a freaking SNAKE! That's EPIC!
I mean I've seen a photo and video of you with it, but I always thought that was at a petstore or something 💀😂

Haha I’ve only had her since summer!

After checking quite literally everything else, I decided to open up my art boxes that were closed. Inside I found my drop cloth for painting, she was inside the plastic tarp, inside the closed box. What a little booger
