Missing Shrimp

he was fine last night and now well i dont know if he is fine or dead... are bamboo shrimp a shrimp that likes to leave water or escape...i cant find him anywhere!!
please help

It's most likely he's just shedding his skin, they hide when doing this because it makes them very vurneable to attack from most fish.

Can they hide quite well because i cant see him anywhere ? He is only about 2 inch and in a tank full of plants though

just one last question if he isnt hiding could he have climed up the heater cable and climed about because there is a gap that he could quite easily get out of ?

Doubtful, Ive never heard of a shrimp climbing out. Jumping out, yes, but they don't tend to do it very often .

what do you keep it with. i wouldnt say it has been eaten cause bamboo shrimps are kinda big. but its possible if your tank mates are huge. its probably hiding. just wait a couple of days. if u're impatient. remove the plants and check.

He's in a tank with 7 guppys so i highly doubt that a guppy could eat him because of his size, i think i will wate for him to turn up because the plants are growing well and i dont want to disturb their roots.

Well i found him after all... thanks for all the reasuring comments... i guess next time i wont rush to conclutions.
