My pleco, Yugi-oh, has been missing for about a week now. Theres no way he could of gotten out of the tank. Im afraid he got stuck in one of the large shells in the tank. Can anyone think of were my pleco might be :-( ???

Plecos can hide very well. When you switch off the lights at night, try to see if it comes out, they seem to prefer the dark

This is a common plec right?

Put a big bit of cucumber in and wait. I've yet to see a common turn down a bit of cucumber.
How big is he? small enough to get stuck in a big shell...have you picked your shells up and looked in them to see if you can see or hear him?

Is he on the back of the wood or hanging alongside your filter? That's where they usually are.

Yes hes common. Ill try the cucumber thing. Hes only about 4 1/2 inches long. We've looked in the shells and seen nothing. Hes not on the wood and cant really hide by the filter.

I had a tiger barb get sucked into a power head when we first started up our 75 gallon tank. When I bought the power head and asked what I should attach it to, nobody at the pet store mentioned a QUICK FILTER! Well, I found out after it was too late and felt so awful about the accident and still do to this day, almost 2 years later. :(

I would love to know what happened to your 4.5 inch pleco.

I now have 2 common plecos that are over a foot long. They are awesome.

Sorry about your tiger barb :( . I used to have 3 pleco but my mom killed my albino and rubbernose plecos. When I first got them Yugi got more active having friends so Im going to get my other pleco ,Jaden(Yugi-oh GX fan), from my livebearer tank and see if Yugi will come out.

Jaden didnt help at all. I was cleaning the the shells and found what was left of Yugi :-( . He must of gotten stuck and died.

:rip: Yugi-oh
