Missing loach

I brought 4 kuhli loach the other day and acclimated them to my tank. They were doing great untill today when I removed everything (carefully checking for fish to make sure there's no fish the decor) but after I removed everything I realise there's only 3 kuhli loach left and I don't have anything that would eat loach
The only other fish I have are bristle nosed plecos.
I have read that it's possible for them to jump, but my tank does have a lid. Though I have been keeping it about a half an inch open due to my pothos needing somewhere to sit above the water. I wouldent think they would be able to jump through that tiny vrack
And there were no fish around the tank on my floor this morning.
What could of happened to it

Double check the inside of your filter too. One of mine somehow swam against the cascading current into my hang on back filter (the inlet was covered). I had heard they could get into crazy places but that was just hard to believe. I made sure to keep my water level lower after that.
