I have a missing cory, is it possible for the fish in my taken to have eaten him and devoured every little piece of him?? None of my fish are big enough to eat him whole, I have 3 angels, 2 golden gouramis, and 2 kribensis chichlid, and a chine algae eater, all are relatively new and small but I suppose if he died they might have pecked at him, unless he has a very good hiding spot, the other cory is fine and doing his business at the bottom of the tank. The missing cory I saw at about 10 pm the other night when i fed the fish the next morning I didnt see him and still havent seen him 2 days later! could they have devoured him overnight?? thanks

Need to no tank size in gallons, plus water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, well you do have some fish in there that could, how big is the chinese algae eater as they get big and nasty, have you looked in the filter and ornaments.

ph 7.2, nitrite and nitrate 0, ammonia is 1.0, it was 2.0 last week, got it down to 1.0 so far with daily 10 percent water changes, tank was not fully cycled when fish were introduced due to some bad advice from LPS, chine algae eater is about 2 inches. havent checked ornaments but you can kinda see in them, Ill check em though, I guess if hes not in there they must of eaten him, any idea on if I should use stress--zyme to help speed up reducing the ammonia?

Corys are very senstive to water quality so he could of died, don't add any chems, just water changes i'm afraid.

he couldd of died and got burried or be hidden somewhere or they could of ate him.Its not impssible

Since you have a CAE, I'd say he was definitely eaten. He probably died and then the rest ate him, especially the CAE. CAEs get very aggressive and will even attack and try to eat live fish. They are definitely not good tank mates for flat bodied fish such as angels and gouramis. He will eventually kill them.
