what is breeding season for minnows? and are they double breed or do they come in genders?

What kind of minnows? Most aquarium minnows breed all year round but in the pond it will be through spring and summer.
Minnows are either male or female. The males being smaller and slender than the females.

they are grey with little red tails and on just got something caught on lip.... oh it came off.
