Minnows Acting Strange (dieing)

they all stick around the bottom of the tank and hang out with the cat fish apart from one that doesnt leave the surface and another thats very skittish the one on the surface was swimming around quite fast then i realised he was upsidown, by the time i had the net he was the right way up again, ok one is actually on the sand next to the cory's but seems fine

any help or sujestions much apreciated

ahhhhhhh just turned the light on to check on things hes upsidown red marks all over him and tail missing i suspect the female betta got hungry

although they were staying on the bottom before i added her

dead before i could fish him out

ok so another minnow has taken a turn for the worse has developed red spots and reddeing around the gill's and has irratick breathing the female betta cant of done it this time as shes been in te 3gallon (divided it in half) by the time ive managed to get medication i fear it will be dead......so should i put it out its misery now

and i dont particularly want any of them in my tank now i fear for my cory's love them

I have Minnows in a Community tank with various other fishes and they seem ok,never had any trouble with them at all...even with bigger fishes...sounds like you have some sort of parasite
