Minimum Tank Size?

What would you say is the minimum tank size for a bristlenose or bulldog plec?

Could I keep them in my 38 x 30 x 33 cm (34 litre) tank? I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd ask!

I'm probably not going to give the right answer but, if it was my choice I'd say no.

Shame! I thought the bulldog one might be OK as it is only about 4 inches fully grown.

34l is a bit small really.... the small amount of water means that a heavy bio load (eg one of the plecs mentioned) will cause water quality issues quite quickly.

Fine, I'll go back to the original plan and get otos or pygmy corys. If/when I upgrade the tank I might get a plec

At least you done the sensible thing by looking into what is best. Instead of just buying one.

I'm not very experienced with fish yet, I don't want to buy something unsuitable, let the kids get attached, and then have it die or have to rehome it.
