Today I noticed something a litte.... fishy... about wuv's mini boy (pun intended.)
As I watched his cute little self picking at a ghost shrimp exoskeleton, I saw a white spot on his belly. An ovipositor?? His body shape looks male, and he seems fairly aggressive, but I swear it looks like he has an ovipositor. Some of my males have a tiny white spot on their bellies, though, so I thought maybe it could be that... at any rate, I've taken some good photos that should show what I'm talking about. What do you think? Ovipositor, or just a white spot?

BTW, his belly looks swollen because he ate like a pig today. It's not eggs :p

I don't know....my standard (currently tattered) red male veiltail has the same white spot and tends to have a rounded belly. I actually kind of assumed it was part of his ongoing sickness.

well, to my untrained eye, that looks like an ovipositor, but i have heard that some males have a white spot (not sure why?) quite the mystery....hmmm..... :dunno:
