Well my cousin with autism decided he'd go into my room and throw every food chemical and equipment into my fish tanks which is worth hundreds of dollars and I definitely dont have the money to spend it again and worst of all its my birthday and Im beeping *******
I wasnt aware he was even near the room because his mom wasnt watching and said he was in the bathroom
and on top of that one of my filters broke anyway before that
:rip: fishkeeping ill miss you
I might sell some of the stuff thats still usable.....

why don;t you just let things calm down and take stock ofthe situation in a couple of days. If you get shut you will only miss it

Over the yrs these come along to test you but fishkeeping is a great hobby and one that if you like it can entertain you for life

As simonas said wait a few days and see how you feel, you cannot blame him, just learn from mistakes, for example, keep all food/chemicals etc in a cuboard out of reach, even get a lock if needed, sometimes people take breaks from the hobbie, so as simonas has stated make sure you really want to give up, as said for most its exspensive to start, This is why i shop second hand and offer homing of unwanted fish, it helps people get rid and you get someting aswell, that way it does not have to cost $$$$

Don't give up on the hobby, it will cost you more in the long run when the hobby nibbles at you in a few months. Cool down, and start fresh in a few weeks.

:X Im sorry about whats happened
As mentioned, his mother is responsible and she should compensate for the damage caused. The best thing to do is get your aquariums back up and running and just forget about whats happened. No need to quit :)

How annoying but as Nelly says, let things settle, but hey, maybe its a sign for you to start again on the salty side of the hobby :p

Seffie x

funny thing you say that seffie I was thinking of setting up a saltwater tank for a 30 or 40 gallon with mostly gobies before and some wrasse or some other small marine fish and I have decided I will stay in the hobby,I also have some good news about some cory fry that some how managed to hatch :)
My room smells horrid though because of the all the fish food that was dumped in
thanks everybody for convincing me to stay in the hobby :)
