Might Be Starting Marine !

I might be buying a 4ft marine tank with filter, heater, skimmer ect second hand but in good condition.
I am going to have a look at it this weekend and see if it is all ok. Then hopefully buy it !
I cant wait.

What are your livestock plans for the tank?

Depending on the size of the tank, i would be going for a reef system. I might have a reef safe wrasse setup with 6line wrasse, carpenters flasher wrasse and other reef safe species. The other option would be to have a community reef with something along the lines of :
2 clowns ( not sure on which species yet )
1 yellow tang
1 powder blue tang
1 royal grammer
1 mandarin
1-2 firefish
variety of gobys
crabs & shrimp
& eventually polyp & mushroom corals
& lots of live rock of corse.
If i get the tank and i know its volume i will come up with a more definitive stock list.

Prep first...read. Make sure you know your stuff before plunging in. If you are truly gung ho, you'll love having a piece of the ocean in your LR. SH

Well my dad spoke to the guy who had the tank and he still has it. It is a 425 litre tank, 5ft long, which is a really good size in my opinion. Anyway, we are going to look at it tomorrow and if it is all A-OK i will come home with a MARINE TANK!
If i do...be prepared for lots of questions, i will most probably make a journal too.
