i have read a lot about cories and it seems they are happier in groups of 6 so is it possible to keep a mix of diffrent spiecies ie. 2 bronze 2 albino 2 peppered or 3 albino 3 peppered ? hope this question isnt too silly

I find they do prefer to be with their own species, but mixing is not a problem in any way.

i would no less than 3 of each species, all species get along.

that would be fine. any 3 per species is fine, of course, the more the better, but no less than 3.

Just remeber some corys prefer different water temperatures so make sure the species you have together liike the same type of water temp and parameters.

The biggest danger with only having one or two specimens of several Cory species is that of cross breeding. I would suggest buying your Corys in groups of 5 or 6 to avoid any problems of hybridising.
