hey guys you are going to have to forgive the algae, kind of hard to keep anything alive that would eat it in the tank with a midas on one side and a crazy pike on the other. heck they even kill huge apple snails a bit bigger than golfballs.

What a cutey pie!!
I have a midas-blood parrot hybrid, so while I don't technically own a midas, mine is close enough for me to have really developed a love for them :D

juanvaldez,

I know something that will survive the attacks of your Midas and Pike and also clean your algae.......

Or so you think, baldranger  Mine takes the other half away from me,leaving me standing there cleaning the outside of the glass

gorgeous fish,Juan  About how big?

(s)he's awesome Juan
Thats the F0 right?

DD

yeah he his F0. he is about 9 inches only about 7.5 when I got him. he is agressive. as for the mag float. I don't like them due to the fact that it can potentially harm my fish. so I have to deal with the algae scrubber and not hitting all of the spots and then finding it later

Awesome fish Juan :D

What do you mean by 'potentially harm' is there something in these mag floats that isnt good for the fish? I have one for my oscar tank :/ Thanks.

Great fish, what size tank is he in? :D

They can float away from the glass, and if you try to attract them back, your fish can get squished inbetween them. If you have a fish that's more likely to attack one, then they are in rish of also gettin their fins stuck and shredded. I also don't like them because they can get little particles in them and scratch your glass real bad :/

DA frank hit it right on the head. if this fish hadn't took several bites out of his tail when I got him he would for sure be a show fish. I am still holding my breath that it will heal over. as it looks like he is getting a little bit more of his tail and 2 of the others have healed over.

Frank he is in a divided 75 gallon right now till the fish room gets done and I can get another for him so that the Crenicichla Frenata can have the whole tank.
