i was just wondering how old do u have to be to buy a mouse from a pet shop in the uk.u see i have seen these rearly nice mice i want in my lps and i cant get any adult to come with me to the pet store.my mom works full time and when she does get a day off which is sunday the pet shop is closed.by the way im 14.any info will be great.thx

16 it is!
i went to buy a hamster and my mam was in the next shop BUT if you have a letter signed by a parent saying you can have one and leaving a phone number most pet shops will let you.good luck woith getting your mouse

:/ well why then do all the above links say 12 ? I found loads of others too ...

I'm not sure if its actually in use yet, but there was a thingy changing the legal age from 12 to 16. But as I said, that was a while ago and I can't find anywhere saying whether its gone through.

As I've seen quite a bit of conflicting information, I have a strong suspicion that this does not only change country to country, but also county to county. You're best off finding out from your local borough council about rules and licensing for pet shops in the area.

Or you could save yourself some trouble and just call the petshop in question. I'm sure they can tell you.

I honestly have no idea. Sorry. But this reminds me of a pet store by me that has a policy that states you have to be 18 or older to buy their fish, let alone their other pets. Weird. -_-
