Little girl arrived today

Isn't she a cutie? She is my son's pet, but given he is 5 the care falls on me. I'm in love, she's so stinking cute

Carefully drip acclimated her for an hour

She may only get another half inch to one inch longer, thats it.
My son is super excited, he got all excited when we got the box from the FedEx worker and had to watch me open it (thank goodness it wasn't DOA he wouldve been devastated), and has been watching her and talking to her a lot lol.

As for sexing, I guess males have tiny little "legs" between their large legs on the tail where the legs end. Females a little nub. She's got a nub so female.

Gave her a pellet last night and it was adorable watching her eat it lol

She has molted since we have gotten her and she's settled in super well.

This little girl, almost on the hour each evening, goes inside her little pot until we turn her lights off, as if saying "okay, mom, its bedtime!"

She is way too stinking cute.

Her tank looks great. She has a really nice little home!

And while I'm normally all for planted and all natural tanks, I can't help looking at that photo of her in her little pot, and thinking how cute it would look if she had like a little fairy garden around that pot. Put some moss on top of the pot like a hobbit hill, a tiny little garden gnome or something...

Not that I'd buy anything from Wish, let alone something to go in a tank, I'm sure there must be someone making aquarium safe fairy garden accessories somewhere. I might have to turn the 12 gallon into a themed tank myself now...
