Metalhead guppies are also commercially available. But they will cost a bit more than an average store guppy. Metalhead guppies are a result of crossing a moscow (black, green, blue or purple) male to a non moscow female. But nowadays, there are also pink and red metalheads.
Overhere a male metalhead green guppy of mine.

The guppy is cool and its name is cool .
They call them metalheads because the males have a black, silvery, metallic dark head. This is because with the moscow trait, the dark gene is recessive in males and dominant in females. So, once you cross a moscow male to a non moscow female, the dark trait is only to be seen on te head. If we would cross a moscow female to a non moscow male, and the moscow trait would be dominant over the traits of the male, the male offspring would develop a dark body.
doe it like heavy metal music?
One way to find out... ;)
