Hey guys wondered if anyone could help.

I purchased 2 filter from meber on here, back on 19th-20th Nov, anyway that got damaged and parcelforce admitted this and asked for me to contact buyer.

I contacted the buyer and she sadi this wasnt a problem and would refund me.........

Iv still heard nothing and sent message after message and had nothing, Trouble is she asked me to pay via paypal and send as a gift.

Just feel abit let down that someone has ripped me off, and wondered if anyone knew if there was anyway of anyone being able to contact this member.

Thanks Tom

Drop a PM to the mods, linking to the thread in which you bought the item. The mods can take it from there. If you completed the sale off the boards though, you won't have a leg to stand on with them...

Sending cash for goods as a gift though paypal is a big no-no. Always send it as a goods payment, then you can open a dispute in an instance like this. As you paid for the goods as a gift payment, again you have no leg to stand on with paypal

While most boards store e-mail addresses, they store very little else, other than often IP logs... If this is set as visible in their profile you can contact them via e-mail. If they have opted not to make their e-mail address public, there is little the board can do, as they'd be breaching the data protection act if they gave you the e-mail address without gaining permission first...

I have all the Pm's from the seller still, who are the mods to pm?, sorry im new

The particular person has not been active since 25 November.... I have sent (the person) a message to try & establish his/her side of the transaction... Will let you know if there are any further developments.

As I have replied to your pm... The following:
The forum itself distances itself (in the rules) of any liabillity for transactions taking place between members. The actions that we do have control over is to impose some form of punishment on members who are guilty of misconduct (which may include a permanent ban) and the likes... So, untill we can contact him/her to ascertain the situation from his/her perspective to base our decision on,we are unable to act.
