Melanotaenia Pygmaea Care

i'm getting 1 Melanotaenia pygmaea in a couple of days, its $17 so could only afford 1, if needed i can put some of my other rainbows in with it, so what does its water need to be? if it goes ok i'm getting more

Not sure about this species but if its similar to the Praecox and indeed other rainbows, please don't just keep one of them. They are a shoaling fish who really don't do well if there is only one of their own species. They will be very pale and hide a lot and just generally be miserable. Keep a minimum of a group of 3, 1 male to 2 females.

ok well might order another 2 or 3 in from work, probably cheaper then petstore prices lol, so they wont school with other rainbows?
