I really like this fish and was wondering if i could keep 1 in my tank with my neon rainbows, but i've read some mixed information about them and the last thing I'd want to do it buy a fish that would eventually outgrow my tank.

So, the two things that ive read about:

Size- Some websites say 3" and others say up to 6". Anyone have anypast experience?

Tank Size- Once again, sites differ. The minimum tank size listed is usually 20 us gallons to 40 us gallons.

Any help?

(Sorry if you aren't in US and dont know inches and gallons, we are too stupid to convert to metric system)

Melanotaenia Boesemani max out at around 9cm (3.5")
they should be kept in groups of at least 5.
ideal temp is 27 – 30°C and prefer ph to be 7-8
