Melafix

can anyone tell me if melafix treats swim bladder problems? my two firemouths have been fighting for control and the loser has been moved to my hospital tank as it is just sitting on bottom and not swimming. I have treated twice with king british revitalising tonic and am now about to try melafix.I was wondering if his swim bladder is the problem and would melafix help? he has a few nips in his fins too. thankyou for advice

no melafix won't do nothing for swim bladder disorders.

Was the hospital tank cycled? what are the stats?
Has the losing Firemouth been badly beaten?
tbh sitting on the bottom not swimming doesn't really like swim bladder, could just be sulking, but water stats would be good to know

melafix is a topic solution meaning it will aid in healing apparent wounds but won't do anything about the inside of the fish.

try changing the water very often, air pump to oxygenate the water. keep lighting dim.
