Are these readily avaliable in the uk??

i'm from essex in england and have never seen them in any lfs and would desperately like one. anyone know of any stores locally that sell these or online stores?

try asking a store manager if they can order them.most small personally owned stores will order fish for people if they desire them.u should also look online.thats how i get many of my fish.its so much easier than waitng to see if LFS' have the fish on next weeks stock/order sheet.

They are most commonly sold under their old name of Hoplosternum, ask for brown hoplos and most stores will know what you are talking about.
