Hey guys, I'm in the process of building my first saltwater tank (just assembling components, doing as much DIY as possible to cut down on cost). I've done tons and tons of research up until this point and will be making a journal too once i get all the pieces together.

My question is, do you know of any place that sells just the black corner piece for a megaflow overflow. I've been looking everywhere, but can only find the accessory kit which is just so ridiculously priced. Or if you have a link to a DIY in tank overflow that would be cool too.

Another question is what size hole saw would you use to cut holes for a 1" bulkhead?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try searching for
AquaVim overflow box (is it the same thing).
I believe the hole dims for a 1" bulkhead would be 35-36mm

Thank you for the reply. I might be looking at the wrong thing, but on aquavim's price list, they want over $100 for the piece, so I would be better off buying the megaflow accessory kit... unless that doesn't include the black cover piece.

Why do you want/need a new megaflow cover? Is yours damaged, or do you simply not have one?

If you don't have one (which I would assume is the case since you're also talking about drilling), and not up to building a cover yourself, look up glass-holes.com for full all-in-one overflow kits. Comes with the internal box, drill bit, plumbing, bulkhead, everything you need to get setup. TBH, you're going to struggle to beat the glass-holes price for all of that unless you go ahead and build the internal box yourself. Even then, you're only gonna save yourself a couple bucks.
