I'm going to put 8 barbs in my 37 gallon tank. I want some bottom dwellers though because I like them, and for leftover food algae eating... I was thinking of a combo.. redtail black shark, mega clown pleco, dario botia loach.. since all 3 grow to about 4 inches average. my question...
I see where it is recommended to have the mega clown pleco in groups. Why? Is it because they are more aggressive if alone? That would actually be good. as the redtail and loach are more aggressive.
I've put in live plants. Will the clown or bushy nose plecos destroy them? I wanted to give the bottom dwellers plenty of hiding spots.
Maybe a bushy nose pleco is better suited? better suited being alone?
any suggestions appreciated. especially from personal experience with any of those 4.
