Here is my poor red guy with no name. I have tried many but none seem to stick. In real life his body is more pale and the blue is actually very lavender.

Here he is making love to the camera.

And this is Wraith. The flash ruins him but this room doesn't get enough natural light and my tripod is busted so oh well.

I didn't try to get him to flare so these are just him being him. He does, however, flare at his food before he eats it. It's very interesting to watch, he approaches, slows, flares, stares it down and then SNATCH! Gulp, all gone.

The only one I don't have pics of yet is the one that's been so sick and not eating.

p.s. the splits in Wraith's anal fin used to go nearly all the way to his body, they have healed considerably since I bought him.

 *wolfe whistles* hey, those are some nice guys!!!

You could name your no-namer PAO..that's Thai for Flaming :flex: :D. (yes I am a big fan of Thai names lmao)

Thanks all! I love 'em so much it just makes my day when others enjoy them, too.

SRC, Pao sounds cool. I'll have to try it on him and see if it fits. :)

OohFeeshy, I don't know what he is honestly. I got him at Petco but he didn't look like that when I bought him I'll tell ya that much! After I got him home I put him on Hikari BioGold and that, and good clean water, make his colors just POP and the tiniest starts of lavender at the base of his fins is now about a third of them. I'm up for anybody's opinions on what, if anything, he is. :D

editied to say that he mostly swims around looking "regular", it's only when I put a mirror up that he starts showing off like that. I have only done it twice to get pictures since I don't like to get him worked up for nothing, but it sure does make him look nice.

You know it's actually good for them to "get worked up". It gives them something to do and exercises them...so they don't become lethargic and lazy. :)

I let mine see each other atleast once a day anywhere from 20-45 minutes at a time. Anymore then that and they tend to start ignoring each other..well most of them...I have a couple that would flare at each other all day lol.

Well that's good to know. My tanks are too far away from each other and too heavy with water to move but I'll use a mirror every once in a while. I actually thought about doing that with my sick one. Maybe if he thinks he has some competition he might actually eat something.
