Hi,

Last week my male bristlenose plec died, he had no signs of injury, ammonia and nitrite 0, ph 7 but nitrate was also 0 which was strange (need to get new test kit). Anyhow mrs bristlenose was lonely, even with several of the kids living in the tank so yesterday i bought another male. He is bigger than the first and huge compared to mrs he's about 5 inches, she's about 3 and a half inches.
Here's the pics and one of mrs too.

Enjoy :D

Well he's been in there a week and today is the first time i've seen him come out from under the filter. Mrs bristlie doesn't seem impressed by him at all but the babies from the last male don't seem bothered by him and he hasn't been chasing them so all is well.

Hope he overcomes his shyness as the old one was always out and about. Everythime i go near the tank he shoots back under the filter.

Emma :)

Very nice. I like the BN Plecos too. I had one that died a while back and I would like to get me another one
